I don’t know about you all, but we moved to Dorchester from the South End so when we first unpacked our boxes, the prospect of popping out to shop in the neighborhood seemed a little, well, depressing. But then I discovered a gem: the little enclave of shops located at the corner of Adams & Dorchester Avenue in Lower Mills.
These days, I try to make my way down the road at least a few times a year and I’m never disappointed. On a recent trip, I fueled up on delicious coffee at Flat Black (if you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out) and headed next door to Streamline Antiques.
Do you love vintage jewelry?

I *heart* it and owner Lynda Watson never disappoints. Her stuff is G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S.

I love all the bangles….

….and practically swoon over the funky vintage earrings every time I’m in the shop.
But if jewelry isn’t your thing, then have no fear. Lynda’s got an amazing selection of vintage barware.

What swanky cocktail-lovin’ man or woman wouldn’t love this set-up for his/her den of sin?

And you can get the whole set-up in one spot (no eBay stalking necessary!) — right down to vintage swizzle sticks.

In fact, there are lovely odds and ends of all sorts and ALL are really well-priced. I wanted everything but I managed to escape Streamline with wallet intact. I’ll be back soon though; new stuff pops up all the time and I won’t be able to resist for long…
Thanks to Lynda for walking me through it all!
